Grewin Jin Niu M-Type Rotary Burr — The Special Forces of Precision Machining
Product Overview
The Grewin Jin Niu M-Type rotary burr features a tapered pointed head design (similar to a sharpened pencil tip), enabling it to easily reach into narrow grooves and corners for fine engraving and contour machining.
Its double-cut design (X-shaped teeth) provides higher chip removal efficiency and lower cutting resistance compared to single-cut burrs, resulting in faster cutting performance and smoother surface finishes. It is particularly suitable for machining tough and hard materials.
The M-Type double-cut rotary burr is a tool designed specifically for efficient and precise machining, recognized as the “special forces” in precision finishing tasks.
Key Features
- Premium Material: Made of tungsten carbide, extremely hard and wear-resistant, maintaining precise arc-shaped cutting edges for consistent contour accuracy.
- Pointed Head Advantage: Easily accesses narrow profiles, slots, and gaps that standard tools cannot reach.
- High Cutting Efficiency: Cross-cut double-blade design ensures stable cutting and excellent chip evacuation.
- Wide Application Range: Suitable for machining metals with hardness ≤ HRC55 (carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.).
Applications
- Mold industry
- Mechanical parts processing
- Automotive manufacturing
- Hardware tool production
Technical Standard
- Manufactured in compliance with ISO 7755-1984(E)
- Available in 12 models and 78 specifications of tungsten carbide rotary burrs

Case Study
Precision Mold Maintenance
A precision plastic injection mold factory encountered wear and burrs in the narrow rib sections of a mobile phone housing mold after long-term use. This caused demolding difficulties and surface scratches.
- Traditional Method: Manual files or small grinding wheels were used, but limited space made the process inefficient, with difficulty maintaining cavity accuracy and high risk of over-grinding or shape distortion.
- M-Type Rotary Burr Solution:
- Selection: A 6mm shank, 4mm head diameter M-Type burr was chosen and mounted on a high-speed pneumatic grinder.
- Operation: The tapered pointed head easily reached the bottom of ribs just 5mm wide. The double-cut design delivered efficient cutting at medium-high speeds, quickly removing wear marks and burrs, while excellent chip evacuation prevented clogging or scratching.
- Results: The process took only about 15 minutes, several times faster than traditional methods. The ribs were restored with sharp contours, accurate dimensions, and smooth surfaces. The mold returned to normal production, avoiding the high cost of full mold replacement.
Operation & Maintenance
- Moderate Pressure: Avoid excessive force to prevent overheating or premature wear (reduce speed for extended burrs).
- Speed Control: Designed for high-speed operation; follow recommended RPM and adjust based on material type.
- Safety Protection: Always wear safety goggles and cut-resistant gloves to guard against flying chips.
- Regular Cleaning: Clear away chips frequently to maintain peak cutting performance.
